How Our Fave Celebs Have Handled Wedding Postponements

[ad_1]

Sarah Hyland said it best: “A couple, a pandemic and a postponed wedding”. If you had to rethink your wedding plans because of COVID-19, you’re definitely not alone! A lot of our fave celeb couples whose engagements we were celebrating this time last year have had to adapt to the times or replan their dream wedding. Be inspired by how these celebrities have handled their wedding postponements.

Wine Time…

Sarah Hyland and Wells Adams weren’t about to let a pandemic stop them from celebrating their would-be wedding date! The lovebirds dressed in white and celebrated in a sun-drenched vineyard complete with “Mr.” and “Mrs.” face masks. Sarah even attached a sweet veil to her chic hat featuring the words “bride to be”.

Fairytale Wedding…

After announcing their wedding postponement, Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi tied the knot in a private ceremony that none of us saw coming! The intimate ceremony was attended by Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, as well as the bride and groom’s parents and siblings. Read all about their magical ceremony in Windsor here!

Pride Month Party…

Raven-Symoné entered the pandemic with her love life kept very private. However, during pride month she graced the internet with the most joyous and colourful photos of her intimate garden wedding to social media manager, Miranda Maday. We couldn’t be happier for these loved-up newlyweds!

Worth The Wait…

One of the things we were most excited about in 2020 was seeing Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez finally say “I do”. While we’re devastated that we’re going to have to wait a bit longer to see these two tie the knot, safety absolutely comes first and we have no doubt that their wedding will definitely be worth the wait. JLo shared her disappointment on The Ellen DeGeneres Show saying that she and ARod will need to wait and see how things pan out before deciding on a wedding date. Meanwhile, they are spending this time with their families and continue to be absolute couple goals!

Love In Bloom…

Sadly, we’ll also have to wait a little bit longer to see Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom tie the knot! The pair had an extravagant wedding in Japan planned with over 150 people on the guest list and Katy, who is expecting their first child together, was super excited to walk down the aisle pregnant. At least at their postponed wedding, they’ll be accompanied by a sweet little flower girl!

Future Bride…

Who else was super excited to see Emma Stone in a gorgeous wedding dress marrying the man of her dreams? We certainly were! The actress and her fiancé, Dave McCary, were set to walk down the aisle in the spring but the pandemic meant that they’ve had to put their wedding plans on hold for now. We can’t wait for them to announce a new wedding date!

Benny And Jenny…

We have no doubt that Jenny Slate would have made a beautiful blushing bride if her wedding to Ben Shattuck had been able to go ahead this year. Jenny announced their decision to postpone their nuptials for the health and safety of their guests on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon“Once you get engaged, you think you’ll be getting married soon after. But actually, what happened was a pandemic happened,” shared the bride-to-be.

Angel Down The Aisle…

Victoria’s Secret Angel, Josephine Skriver, made the difficult decision to postpone her upcoming nuptials to fiancé, Alex DeLeon. However, the couple have definitely chosen to look on the bright side! Josephine shared that she had been finding the wedding planning process super stressful and is glad to have a bit of extra time to make their celebration even more special.

Next New York Minute…

Star of The Walking Dead, Tom Payne, and his fiancée, Swedish singer Josephine Akerman, were meant to say “I do” in New York in April. The pair commemorated what should have been their wedding day with touching Instagram posts to each other. “Out of all the things that have changed, a wedding is something that can wait,” said Tom. The lovebirds expressed that having each other is more than enough.

Postponing Paradise…

Bachelor In Paradise stars, Astrid Loch and Kevin Wendt, announced their decision to postpone their big day in late July. The pair shared that although they were disappointed to not be tying the knot this year, taking some extra time to enjoy being engaged reminded them why they’re getting married in the first place. We love that these beauties are looking at the silver lining!
