Alex + Raj // Dana Point + Laguna Beach Engagement Session

Alex and Raj both work in the space industry, so they met through mutual friends at a space event at a brewery in Florida where they now live together. They have been together about two and half years, and mutually decided to get engaged this year. Together, they designed the ring to be full of symbolism about their relationship. Raj had the idea to add blue sidetones to match the color of Alex’s eyes. They plan to celebrate their marriage with a traditional Indian wedding within the next several years. Alex and Raj picked Dana Point Harbor and Thousand Steps Beach in Laguna for their engagement photo locations to incorporate their love of sailing and affinity for the beach into their pictures. They also surprised me by wearing traditional clothes to honor Raj’s culture and family for a handful of shots at the beginning! The beautiful colors meshed perfectly with the striking arches for the backdrop in Dana Point. Alex and Raj are so fun and bubbly, and they have many shared interests. As pilots and self-described space nerds, I knew a few photos of the moon would also be very personal to them.
